SYNOPSIS:            

On February 15, 2013 at approximately 1234 hours, the Barstow PD dispatch Center received a call regarding a deceased person located in the desert area north of the Home Depot and just east of Santa Rosa Ave.

Barstow Police Officers and Detectives responded to the scene and discovered a White male adult lying next to a dirt trail at the above location.  The subject was deceased and there did not appear to be any indication of foul play.  There were also no obvious signs of trauma to the victim’s body.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office was contacted and a Deputy Coroner Investigator responded to the scene.  While the initial investigation did not reveal anything of a suspicious nature, the investigation will remain open pending the results of the Coroner’s investigation and the determination of the cause of death. The identification of the person is pending notification of the next of kin.
