Opening in October 2012, the new Barstow Community Hospital (BCH) is a modern 30-bed acute care hospital providing patients with medical, surgical and emergency care -- both inpatient and outpatient services. Boasting more than 350 healthcare professionals, we believe in the power of people to create great care.
Patient safety and quality care is our main focus. As a result of this commitment, BCH outranked all hospitals in San Bernardino County in a 2014 Consumer Reports comparative report on quality and safety. And in 2011, Barstow Community Hospital was named a "Top Performer on Key Quality Measures" by The Joint Commission.
The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and its laboratory is CLIA-certified, licensed by the State of California and also accredited by the Joint Commission. The hospital's mammography program is accredited by the American College of Radiology.
The new hospital represented a $80 million investment and features some of the latest medical technology in our area, including 1.5 Tesla MRI, 32-slice CT, digital mammogram unit and ultrasound and more. And we work hard every day to be a place of healing, caring and connection for patients and families in the community we call home.
