The Barstow Police Department’s School Resource Officer Program began in January 1993 in a combined effort with the Barstow Unified School District to create the safest learning environment possible for its community. The Barstow Police Department has two School Resource Officers assigned to combat crime in and around the schools of the Barstow Unified School District. The School Resource Officers have offices located at Barstow High School and Barstow Junior High School.
