The City of Barstow has experienced an increase in criminal activity at vacant properties within the City. The criminal activity includes trespassing, illegal lodging, vandalism, burglary, theft and arson.

The Barstow Police Department has responded to this crime trend by developing the Vacant Housing Enforcement Team. The Vacant Housing Enforcement Team is designed to work closely with property owners and managers to address crimes associated with their vacant properties. The team conducts checks of the vacant properties and takes appropriate enforcement action when crimes are discovered.

If you are interested in participating in this program, please fill out the Vacant Housing Enforcement form and turn it into the Barstow Police Department.
